Side income anyone can make

Elon Must Save
Hi PH team, Sort and sweet post A lot of people are looking for ways to make some side income, this is one simple way. It takes more time than anything which is good because most of the time people have extra time but no capital to start a business. This is a super low capital idea again just takes time. Make a helpful learning video! Now finished reading this because I know a lot of people might have already lost interest. I'm not talking about some 10-hour long course you need to record...Read More...
I've never created an online course but have taken many. As someone who has paid, these are likes and dislikes I personally have (likes and dislikes may be different and would love other input and opinions) 1. Don't drag the vid out unnecessarily. If I have to constantly fast forward because the instructor is showing me how to put paper in a notebook, for example, I'm going to lose interest quickly. Quality vs. quantity. 2. I love it when the course goes beyond my expectations.....like a...Read More...
Great idea for earning some extra income. And yes I agree, you shouldn't charge too much money but it is still okay to charge something because you put the time and effort into creating it. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there who create courses and then charge an arm and a leg but don't provide any real value. But if you can actually create something that will teach someone how to save a lot more than the material costs, then it becomes a worthy investment.Read More...

Financial Fitness February: Day 5 (eBay Sales!)

Moore Income
Today I did pretty good about not spending a lot of money and I actually made some money in my business so I would say overall it was a pretty good day. I didn't do any sourcing today as I am turning my attention now towards getting stuff listed, however, there are several stores I would like to visit before this "clearance season" ends. Here are the financial highlights of my day: 1.) eBay Sales - For those who may not know, I am an eBay seller and I buy a lot of items from retail stores...Read More...

How to launch a subscription box.

Hi everyone! Sorry for the radio silence lately--I've been both extremely busy and barely working, and trying to figure out a way to make some money. Anyway, one idea I had was a subscription box for pet rats--Facebook has a huge pet rat community and I want to tap into that. If anyone wants to know how to launch their own subscription box, be it a Ramen of the Month or Rat Treat of the Month, let me know. I'll be happy to help you through the process. My passion is my pet rats. They're a...Read More...

Business Start-Up

Kermit Netherton
Hello, I am looking to start a Specialized Lawn Maintenance & Snow Removal Business in Ohio but I have bad credit scores in the 500+ range due to a repossessed car a few years ago and small medical bills. About $15,000 or less in debt. I have tried to get a "Debt Consolidation Loan" but to get caught up but to no avail. I use to bring home good money as a truck driver but was still struggling to get ahead, then I had an accident and rolled my truck over and lost my job. I was off work...Read More...
My husband is self employed as well, so I know what you are going through! First off, have you tried to get a loan through your local bank or credit union? If you own a house, you could be able to secure a home equity line of credit to buy the items you need. Another option is zero-interest-for-X-amount-of-months credit cards, IF you can pay them off in the time frame & if they will approve you, which I'm not sure about with your credit score. You might be able to qualify for a "store"...Read More...

Small Business Tips & Tricks

Kirsten Cherry
I am starting a small business that makes specialty drinks (boba, bubble tea) and I am looking for any tips! We aren’t going to have a brick and mortar, instead we will be working farmers market booths and eventually get a food truck or trailer. Today was our first “pop-up” and it went fairly well. We want to jump in and get all of the licensing in order to sell at markets in the area. Does anyone have any tips for opening a small business?Read More...
Kirsten, I like these two sites for business owners (Forbes and Inc.), refer back to them quite often, and read a lot of articles from their Facebook pages.......or sign up for their newsletters if you are inclined: https://www.forbes.com/entrepreneurs https://www.inc.comRead More...
So much advice..........and I recommend speaking with a CPA to get the most updated advice because profit has to occur at some point to remain a business. Lots of tax rules and awakenings if you've never owned a buisness. If that base is already covered, just keep track of every penny coming in and going out. New business owners often cannot pay themselves for quite awhile so make sure you are prepared. You said your business was going to be a specialty business, so staying on top of trends...Read More...

The Importance of Taking Action

Moore Income
If you hang around any internet marketing or "make money online" circles for any length of time, you are sure to hear all about the importance of taking action. And rightfully so, because taking action truly is what separates those who succeed from those who don't. Friday night, I was searching Facebook marketplace for potential items to resell on eBay. I found this one...Read More...

Starting your own business, first time entrepreneurs.

mintjulep
We've successfully managed a business from our home for more than 20 years. We had a bit of an advantage because I also had a job that brought in income while my partner in life was able to quit his job to get the business started. I was a self-employed, experienced real estate agent with a good client base so I could take over paying bills. If one does not have that reliable income to fall back on, it's important to have some source of savings or a business loan to support your normal...Read More...

What was your biggest challenge getting started online?

Deon Christie
It all started with a single email, and I will never forget the system. Click Cash Commissions was some sort of code to enter on your website or blog. And at the time I didn't even have a blog. Needless to say it didn't really work for me, but it did however spark a curiosity rather unexpected. Allow me to add, I knew nothing about anything online marketing. But the claims looked promising. Therefore my biggest challenge was choosing a niche I knew nothing about. And had really limited PC...Read More...

I think we all get sucked down that rabbit hole @Bonnie Squires . Especially with all the glittering " proof " right? One of the methods to create compelling content is to address a common need within a niche. Now who doesn't want extra cash? Which is why it's such an effective marketing tactic. But I have grown quite considerably since. Much wiser these days.Read More...

There are the two options namely paid and free traffic. Where the best free traffic will always be SEO. Because no other site process even close the unique searches Google does per day (over 3.5 Billion). Another great way to generate more free traffic is YouTube videos. Which also involve a lot of videoSEO. What they don't tell you is that even with the best keyword and search phrase placement. You do need steady visitors to show up in search results. Not necessarily thousands, but steady.Read More...
