Tiffany, Have you tried Pasta a La Carbonara without the egg.  It's one of my favorite quick meals, any day of week.

1 Lb. Cooked Spaghetti, 12 oz package of Bacon, 3 garlic cloves, minced. Parmesan/Romano Cheese to taste, 1/2 stick of Butter, 1/2 - 3/4 C of Milk or Evaporated milk or cream.

Fry bacon until it's crispy, set aside on paper towel to drain. Break bacon into pieces once it's cooled.  Melt butter and add minced garlic in a large skillet.  Be careful not to burn butter.   Add drained/hot pasta, bacon and warm milk, evaporated milk or cream into the skillet, season with salt, and white pepper and incorporate cheese to taste. Toss together, and if needed add 1 Tablespoon of bacon drippings. Top with additional cheese if desired. Serve and enjoy!  Note:  you can add extra milk if you like it creamier.  Serve with salad and bread or bread sticks. Check out the authentic recipe with the egg if you want to try it out.
