#4 is interesting. So, gas here hit $3.27/gal. Honestly, I've paid as high as $4.10 in the west and $5.50 in Florida near Disney. But here (Midwest), $3.27 is making people drive everywhere to save a few pennies.  Here's something I've seen:

You have a "membership club". Their gas is .10 cheaper but you have to pay the annual fee in advance to save that dime.

.10? There was a huge line up. Why? I wondered. Say your gas hog of a pick-up (that you never use for hauling anything) has a 20 gal tank. So, you keep the gas hog running for ten minutes or more just to save $2? Not logical.

Try getting a more fuel efficient car that fits with your needs rather than your wants. Sure, the pick-up is loud and makes you feel like you're in a country song, but if you never actually use the bed for hauling anything and it is terrible to drive in the winter (fish tale) is it worth the heavy price tag plus gas? Penny wise, pound foolish.

Those 10 “helpful” tips only work if you are doing the action correctly. Start with meals and meal prep—decide that no part of a meal is tossed away or left out to spoil. If you have extremely picky eaters in your household—limit their eating to meal time so you serve their portions and watch that they eat what is served. If that picky eater likes to drink favorite drink limit the cup used. Same thing with snacks—what you are doing is creating a better eating habit and lessen your cleaning and cooking and you are not starving them but eliminating food waste. If you make a meal and have leftovers—whatever is left is good for  to eat as is at another meal or as part of another meal. Don’t throw edible food away. All meals should be eaten within 30 minutes give or take depending on conversation. Hence the reference above to deal with a picky eater.
There’s a big difference between buying quality items and quantity items. A good meal ingredients should only cost $4-5 per person unless you are making a special meal. My pasta Carbonara is one of the the most expensive meals I have made but I don’t make very often and when I do we get more than one single meal out of it. If you are going to splurge plan the cost in, but not as a daily occurrence.
When shopping really read the price tags— retail stores know how to play up emotional impulse buying. Follow your shopping list and allow on your list one item as an extra addition if budget allows cost. Don’t forget your phone has a calculator to add up costs of your purchases. Besides don’t shop and browse shop with a purpose in the shortest possible time. Don’t every drive out of your way to get a discount price for anything learn to deal with costs in the area that you are in— whether you shop near work and also gas up there or do everything in your home area. Going careless to me means using public transit not Uber/Lyft otherwise it is not economical. Buying any vehicle involves due diligence especially a used vehicle on your end, especially if buying from a private party. Read the fine print on any free trial and don’t sign up for it. Don’t do a DYI project unless you are fully invested in completing it. Really research streaming costs versus your actual viewing needs. There’s no streaming service that gives you the internet services that you use plus none of the streaming services carry all the shows you need to see. I use the word need to emphasize that you will probably lose parts of your ability to see certain shows immediately plus a good internet connection is not cheap by itself and you will lose access to your local news and weather channel via the TV. Don’t get a credit card just for the rewards that require you to make purchases—why create debt for that reason. Okay I posted a long reply here but I was trying to show that trying to make frugality work does require a bit of effort and thinking.
