Re: Make as much as $42,639 in the first week

Deon Christie ·
Exactly the message I'm aiming to get through to audiences. And thought this subject line will do just that. Really glad you took the time to read the entire article, because I will never promise audiences impossible results. I am however highlighting the fact that these kind of subject lines are nothing more than a marketing tactic. Cannot agree more, so many people fall victim to the "instant riches" scams. Heck, I used to be one of them back when I got started. Which is also why I need...

Haha I love the "click bait" title. The first time I clicked it I did so because I was almost mad to see someone posting something so ludicrous! But now that I actually read more, I see what you did there! Unfortunately, many people see the title of this post and their emotions set in right away and they throw their common sense out the window. Deep down, I think many people know it is too good to be true but because they are looking for the easy way out or are just really desperate, they...

Make your profile stand out by updating your avatar!

Briana ·
While we love Abe, and those adorable Abe-inspired avatars, we also have a ton of other super fun avatars you can choose from for your profile! This is a great chance to showcase a bit of your personality in the community - are you more of a palm tree or sneaker? Do you want to rock out with red hair or maybe have glasses? How do you update your avatar (profile image) you may ask? In your profile settings, if you click "Update your Profile," scroll down to Profile picture/Avatar and choose...

Excellent suggestion @Briana . I think this is the most important part of any online profile. The profile avatar or image. Personally I prefer to use a passport type picture (face and shoulders). Because as much as I love my cat, she's not the one engaging audiences. I am. In my opinion, showing your face is a way of building trust. And trust is the cornerstone of recognition which is important to be successful online.

If I didn't prefer an actual photo over a stock image, I would probably choose something like a money tree or a treasure chest if those were options. I like shiny stuff

Deon Christie ·
For this demonstration and purpose, I chose this subject line for a reason. Because so many people fall victim to false claims and empty promises. A marketing tactic that is sadly quite grossly over exploited, but rather effective. You may even notice quite an impressive response to this article in confirmation of the tactic’s effectiveness. But in many cases, these claims are in fact real. What they don’t tell you however is the fact that making that kind of money online will take years to...

Re: Using LinkedIn to build interested audiences and gain credibility

Moore Income ·
I ignored LinkedIn for quite some time but about a year ago I started focusing on it more. It really is a good tool for building an audience and connecting with people with very specific interests. When it comes to sales, while you can get them on LinkedIn, some people take things too far and just spam people with messages trying to sell their product or service. In my opinion this is a waste of time and makes me even less likely to buy. As with any social media platform, once you start...

Same here @Moore Income , but once I realized LinkedIn's potential I started digging deeper. I find that the tool works well for attracting group members, and I use it only to send a welcome message to new connections. Automation can be a great tool, but moderation is really important. And with Linkedin especially one need to be extremely cautious with automation. Because not all automation tool content is accepted by LinkedIn. And may in some instances result in getting suspended or even...

Using LinkedIn to build interested audiences and gain credibility

Although it is nice to make a few extra dollars on the side. But most people however do work toward the " quitting your day job " Kind of online income. The effort requirement however is exponentially more demanding. Making a few extra dollars online require a lot less effort and can in most cases be fairly easy to achieve. But if you are thinking of working toward the quitting your day job kind of income, then be prepared to apply maximum effort. Which primarily involves building interested...

Providing value is definitely key to being influential online. I really appreciate all the tips about setting up a solid social profile. It is so true that many people approach making money with a "get rich quick" mentality and that is why so many people do not take a professional approach to making money online.

These are great tips that I've been doing for years but I really never tried to make allot of money online. Before I got sick and became disabled I would do ebay which help out but now I'm looking for some thing I can do online that I don't have to send out myself. My be use a drop shipper or do some digital items and send as a down load.

Couldn't agree more. Building recognition is far more important than trying to generate an income. With sufficient recognition the sales will follow eventually. And the "get rich quick" mentality have destroyed many dreams, that only ended in desperation. It takes time to build a Castle.

You're quite right Kenny, there are a lot of scams on the internet. But there is an easy way to check if someone is as professional as they claim to be. Allow me to invite you to one of my LinkedIn posts. Which will guide you on checking the legitimacy of all these "professionals". The fake SEO expert alert will guide you on how to use Google for authenticity. Especially with SEO and blogging there are way too many so called professionals, only interested in selling you any random junk. Or...

There are various ways to generate an income online Bonnie. So much so it's overwhelming. My personal favorite being affiliate marketing with blogging. If you want to sell digital items? You may want to check out BookRix, a page rank 5 publisher that will cost you nothing to publish your work in all major online bookstores. These include Amazon, Google Play, iTunes, Barnes & Noble and also Kobo to mention but a few. You may also want to check out the option to launch a digital product on...

Hi Bonnie, A free blog is always a great option on a tight budget. But if you want to actually rank any blog or website a dedicated owned domain is crucial. Like with your second website, the layout of which I admire. Really great design Bonnie, well done! However, I do see one necessity you may want to look into. Your site "bonniestuff" does not have the https protocol enabled. Which can easily be done by contacting your hosting provider. And ask them to register an SSL certificate for the...

How to build your credibility through recognition

Deon Christie ·
Knowledge and presentation are the only "secrets" to actually making money online, instead of dreaming about it. And knowledge can only be obtained through research, which will lead to recognition. The only difference between the super successful online earners and the ones not quite as successful yet, is time. Recognition starts with social media, from Facebook and Google+ to Twitter with no exception to LinkedIn. But with a faceless profile you will have a hard time convincing audiences...

Me too @Bonnie Squires , I tested more systems and programs than I care to recall. But it did leave me with an arsenal of knowledge to create compelling content. And yes you're quite right. My aim is to demonstrate how easy it is to fall in that trap. Idle promises is nothing more than a marketing pitch, and a rather successful one at that.
