I have been referring people I know. I don't contact many of them through email though so I have just been sharing a link to the community on social media. It would be nice if there was a way to invite the same way on social media.
Excellent suggestion @Briana . I think this is the most important part of any online profile. The profile avatar or image. Personally I prefer to use a passport type picture (face and shoulders). Because as much as I love my cat, she's not the one engaging audiences. I am. In my opinion, showing your face is a way of building trust. And trust is the cornerstone of recognition which is important to be successful online.
Hi @Briana , I have been inviting my LinkedIn connections to the community. But received a notification "you have sent the maximum invites", after reaching 49 invites. My LinkedIn community is currently working its way toward 17K connections. All of which are internet professionals from US, UK and Canada mostly (over 95%). And I would be delighted to invite all of them to The Penny Hoarder Community. Am I inviting too many too fast perhaps? Is there a limit to how many people we may invite...
I explained to some one the other day how to change there picture. But I'm on a PC or Lap top. So i'm not sure about how to do it on a phone. My be some one can explain that so if some one wants there picture on there page they can put it
After we close on our house in a couple weeks, my next goal is to pay our $14,000 in credit card debt down to ZERO! I think I should give myself a timeline...thoughts? Would that increase or lower my motivation?
FREEBIEPHARM you are the one that knows what motivates you. If given yourself a time frame or dead line would motivate you than I say set one. If you think it wont help you than don't set one. With me I like setting goals and keeping to them.
For now, the goal is to get everyone teaming up, reaching out to each other and just talking more openly about your goals, struggles, etc. We're hard at work on some pretty cool stuff... maybe a separate group for all of us who are hard at work on financial goals... but I'll be able to share more soon! Thank you all for your patience!
It was another good week! Hard to believe that a month has already flown by and it is time to announce the new member of the month! I am not sure who it will be this month as we have had several people interacting a lot more frequently on here. Look forward to seeing who it is!
Glad to be taking steps forward with our finances! Helps to read others’ stories and thoughts. I tend to be a “ behind the scenes” kind of person. However, I am striving to put myself out there and ask for help. Hope to hear, see & do More soon!
It was a busy week for me and I wasn't able to spend much time on here. I will be doing my best to go back and catch up on missed posts. Looking forward to seeing who the next member of the month will be!
@Ame3boys Here is a link to the forum thread posted by @mintjulep , you should be able to find the list there. @Joyhopp75 glad to see you are putting yourself out there, this is definitely a great place to do that. Keep up the good work with your finances!
When you block a person, they can no longer invite you to a private message or post to your profile wall. Replies and comments they make will be collapsed/hidden by default. Finally, you'll never receive email notifications about content they create or likes they designate for your content.
Note: if you proceed, you will no longer be following .
