Same here. I am set to retire (hopefully) the end of this year or a few months into 2020. But then that's it.

I believe in working hard and i think any young adult needs that especially when you just come out of college. By a house and get settled, however by the time you hit forty it would be nice to be able to get out of the rat race and smell the roses, experience life.

I chose after 40 but my true answer would never work after 60 because right now I am a nurse and love it. Before nursing I was a soldier for 24 years. Both jobs I have truly enjoyed, just wish I knew these saving tips when I first started working.

This is a tough one for me, because if I am not working on something, I get bored easily. But I would definitely rather spend my younger younger years working hard out of necessity and then spend the later ones working on things I am passionate about.

Forty years to figure things out without worrying about finances sounds good to me. I would think by the time I HAD TO work, I would be working smart (investing, etc.) and not hard at all.

I can't imagine being around someone who has never worked a day in 40 years! I would not want to be that person. I certainly would not want to be a co-worker with them either!
