How was your week?
In case you missed last week’s announcement: The Penny Hoarder turned 10 last week! If you want to show off your Penny Hoarder pride, we have special edition desktop and phone backgrounds available. I still can’t believe it’s been a decade! I’m grateful for this community and everything we’ve been able to learn from one another.
With 2021 just two weeks away, I’m wondering if anyone is setting any resolutions, especially financial ones for the upcoming year? Has your goal-setting approach changed since this whirlwind year? Let us know in the comments below.
With that said, let’s dive in:
This week’s threads:
@applecinnaberry45 wrote, “Due to sudden financial burdens, I'm struggling to be able to pay for things with the part-time fast food job I have and would like to obtain a work at home job. I don't have any experience. Can anyone give me any tips?” If you have any tips, please be sure to head on over to the thread and share.
@Debi Hoyt asked if anyone is doing a no-spend challenge in January? I know some of you have participated in previous community no-spend challenges. If you’ve done one successfully, Debi asked that you share what you did and how much you saved. Head on over to the thread to share your insights.
@Former Member shared some tips and tricks to saving money. What would you add to this list?
And, if you’d like some weekend reading:
I’ve seen pets come up quite a few times in the threads, so I wanted to share this article that went live on The Penny Hoarder this week. The article outlined six expert-approved and budget-friendly ways to protect your furniture from your furry friend.
Do we have any bakers in the community? Dive into holiday baking using these smart and budget-friendly tips from a professional cake decorator.
Please note, the next community announcement will be in the new year. Until then, wishing you and your family a safe and happy holiday!
See you in 2021,
