I, not my spouse,  had to file bankruptcy a few years back due to medical bills and my score is "fair", not quite 650. My spouse does not have a credit rating because everything was in my name, therefore she cannot get a credit card or loan. We have apartment rent, checking accounts and utility bills, all of which have been in excellent standing for a couple of years now. So, are rental companies, banks and utility companies required to report to the credit bureaus? If not is there a way for me to prove we are in excellent standing with all of these companies in order to up our credit scores?
