Happy Friday Penny Hoarders!
We finally got a taste of fall weather earlier this week here in Florida. It didn’t last long, but made me think of my favorite things about this time of year. What are some of your favorite budget friendly fall activities? Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, I love apple picking and pumpkin patches.
And now for this week’s announcements…
- Thank you again to everyone who participated in our member survey, your feedback is invaluable! Join me in giving a shout out to our two sweeps winners @Alisha James and @Lesley Michele. Congrats!!
- We are all for saving the planet around here, so our team recently highlighted how you can save money by switching from disposable to reusable options for 9 commonly used household items. Check it out here.
Personally, I have made the switch from dryer sheets to wool dryer balls. Aside from less waste, my clothes seem to dry faster - it’s a win win! Have you swapped any of your disposable household items for a reusable option?
- This community is a great place to get an outsider’s perspective for your money questions, but did you know The Penny Hoarder offers another option to get answers? Meet Dear Penny! She offers practical money advice that doesn’t take an economics degree to understand. Your questions to her could even be featured (anonymously!) on our site. Submit your questions here!
Here are a few of her recent questions and answers:
Dear Penny: How Do I Pay Back $80K in Student Loans on a $42K Salary?
Dear Penny: I’ve Paid Down $22K of Debt. Why Doesn’t My Credit Score Show It?
