I’m excited to share we’re bringing back The Penny Hoarder’s money advice columnist Dear Penny, aka Robin Hartill, CFP, in the community for another Q&A, “Reboot Your Credit.” This live Q&A will be in partnership with Credit Sesame and focused on answering your questions around improving your credit score and overall financial health.
I’m sure we’re all ready to say goodbye to 2020, but there’s still some time to get some good out of the year — taking time over the next few months to make sure your finances and credit score are in good shape so you can have an even better 2021. Starting Wednesday, you will have the chance to have a direct conversation with Robin and the Credit Sesame team. The live forum will be available to community members from Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 12 p.m. until Friday, October 16, 2020 at 12 p.m. ET.
I’ll publish an updated announcement with the link to the Dear Penny Q&A on Tuesday. Robin and the Credit Sesame team will check in each day to answer as many questions as possible. To increase your chances of having your questions answered, please be sure your question is clear and specific and on topic. Hope to see many of you on Wednesday!
There have been some great conversations and questions in the community this week, so let’s help each other out:
@Karo asked if anyone in the community delivers for Uber Eats. And, if so, what are the pros and cons? If you have experience with this, please let Karo know over on the thread.
@redcatcec asked, “What’s everyone doing for Halloween this year?” Community members have shared everything from going all out on decorations to socially-distant trick-or-treating. Head on over to the thread if you have something you’re doing for Halloween.
For weekend reading, I wanted to share some of Robin’s, aka Dear Penny’s, latest columns on The Penny Hoarder:
Dear Penny answered six tricky questions about money and retirement in this roundup.
After a layoff and 100 job applications, this Penny Hoarder reader finally got hired. Dear Penny shared advice on how this reader could stretch their paycheck to catch up on unpaid bills.
Finally, we recently published a brand new survey, “The Smart Shopper Survey.”
Our partner, Dollar General, wants your feedback so they can better serve shoppers like you! Please take a moment to share your shopping habits and preferences here. When you've completed the survey, you'll be able to see how other community members responded. Thanks for participating!
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
