Five years ago, Meta announced their augmented reality glasses, which were developed under the direction of Caitlin Kalinowski.
The former hardware lead for Meta’s AR glasses has revealed her intention to join OpenAI, a popular tech start-up.
The development of Orion, the AR glasses prototype that Meta unveiled in September, was led by Caitlin Kalinowski, who also worked on Oculus VR and had previously designed hardware for Apple’s MacBooks.
Kalinowksi announced yesterday (4 November) on LinkedIn that she will be in charge of the ChatGPT-creator’sconsumerhardware and robotics development.
According to her, “OpenAI and ChatGPT have already transformed the world, enhancing how people access and engage with information and providing significant advantages globally.”
