I have to admit, I do that rather often. Because people’s ignorance can really be astonishing sometimes. The problem with “Common Sense” is that it’s not that common anymore at all. Ignorance often ends in accidents, or irritation or damage of some kind. With regard to acts of ignorance, I sometimes wonder how we made it as a species this far?
Like this morning, I noticed a truck attempting to reverse into a rather tiny goods delivery entrance lane. The truck driver was completely in the right, indicators on and reverse alarm sounding etc. In comes this idiot, squeezing past the back of a reversing truck with a rather tiny car.
Nothing happened, I just thought that was a rather stupid and unnecessary chance to take. Apart from all else, there was no way the truck driver could’ve seen the tiny car!
Do you notice people’s ignorance? Have you seen something in particular that made you go WOW recently?
I have found out that driving tends to bring out some of the worst in people.
When you consider the fact that vehicle accidents are the cause of much more fatalities than any other form of transportation. And yet, people seem to be the least cautious when it comes to driving.
This combined with the fact that people’s tempers tend to get flared up even worse when something doesn’t go this way on the road and you have a recipe for disaster!
I am constantly “wowed” by how fast people drive and the risk they are willing to take when weaving in and out of traffic and violating simple traffic laws for the sake of gaining an extra minute.
I remember a time when I was driving in the rain on a winding highway and the speed limit was 70 mph but people were passing me at 80-90 mph!
But, at the same time, I am guilty of my own fair share of ignorant moments I am sure!

I was going to say the same thing people driving. I’ve seen
people driving while using there cell phones. Not having
turn singles on.
When it rains or snow here its like people don’t no how to
drive in it.
I’ve seen people walk into the street when cars are coming
which I be afraid of.

The ignorance is rather annoying @bonnie.squires. Now you know why I do grocery shopping in the middle of the month…lol!

early in the morning. When no one is out like 2 or 3
am in the morning.

Driving especially @moore.income. Temper plays a huge role, you’re quite right. Will it really be that much of an effort to just slow down slightly and allow someone to switch lanes? I mean…really? Because there are those who would speed up on purpose to prevent you from changing lanes.
Violating simple traffic laws is taken to the final level in South Africa (In my Opinion). I think you’d have a heart attack driving on our roads. I think driving on South African roads should be added as a skill on your CV or resume.
We all have our ignorant moments I’m sure, some of us just hide it better…lol!

Me too @bonnie.squires. Although shops are not open at that time in South Africa. I am in front of the doors at 08:00 though, and the first one in. That way I’m done and on my way home within 90 minutes tops…lol!

DEON CHRISTIE had allot of store open 24 hours.
KS only one i know of is Walmart. We shop there
a couple times a month and than i do most of our
shopping where we use to live because our son still
works there and the market here and dollar general here.

For me it’s a shop called Makro @bonnie.squires. Where you can buy in bulk with rather large savings. I save almost 45% on my groceries considering quantity. Which makes it easier to not having to buy groceries as such every month. Apart from the everyday items like bread, milk and fresh veggies.

in bulk but you have to pay $40 for a membership for
the year.
