Just fired an attorney who is an estate attorney, but wouldn’t do anything to settle an estate. Can you give me pointers in finding a good attorney?
I would try to ask people in your area for recommendations. Check with the BBB. And if you are new to the area, I find the local FB groups to be very helpful.

I’d suggest checking with your State/County Bar Association.
Word of mouth is always an option, and usually a good way to go if from a reliable person, remember you would be getting only 1 side of the story. Also check out if they have had success as an attorney and years of specific experience on a particular concern. If the are in practice by themselves or if they have a law firm, those can be looked up. You might Google as an option.
