Saving on vegetarian food

What is the cheapest vegetarian food item you can buy in the grocery store?

I just got a note indicating this post was rejected, but it is posted. Not sure why it went against the guidelines. It’s about saving money on food.

Hi Kimberly! It looks like it was published, so it may have been marked in error. Sorry about that.

In terms of cheapest vegetarian food. Hmm. I’m thinking back to my vegetarian days…

I always found canned chickpeas to be pretty inexpensive and you can use it to make so many different kinds of meals too. I watched this Youtube video this past weekend, which really inspired me to think of ways I could use the chickpeas I have.

Hi Penny! Who would ever think you could do such things with chickpeas juice? I love it. I am making falafel which calls for chickpeas, and I have some hummus on hand. Thank you very much. I am inspired.
