I started a business years ago (web publishing). What gave me the courage to go for it full time was being laid off from my newspaper job. Lemonade out of lemons, I suppose!

A nasty disagreement with management solved that problem for me! I hate to admit getting fired was a relief for me. As my wife said, I was so loyal to my staff I would have stayed until they buried me in the driveway!
