In particular the recent robbery in San Francisco where an Asian female dentist was shot dead with three bullets from a pair of robbers in Daylight! This scenario keeps being repeated through the Bay Area. People accosted in daylight and having their Rolex watches stolen by gun toting thieves.

Welcome to Baltimore MD. Crime is rampant here and criminals are honored through statues being put up for them, a state’s attorney who will not prosecute the thugs, and monetary reward to their families.
I am so sorry you have had to experience this through news or reading about it, even if you were not there, the total disregard for human life is at an all time high.
Everyone is at a loss for the solution.
I live in a relatively safe city, but even then, crime seems to be getting worse here as well. It is a terrible situation with no clear solution.
In the city where I live a woman was driving home from work when she was killed by a stray bullet. This sure makes one feel not only anxious to even leave your house, but helpless. Until the mindset of “ settle it with a bullet” is changed, young people will never understand the sanctity of life.
Our only consolation is that everyone pays their dues in the end.

It’s is concerning and said to see that hate crimes are increasing in Asian American communities.
I also do not go out at dark. We have a homeless mentally I’ll young man living on the square directly in front of my apartment. He screams and shouts, plays music loudly at all hours. The police come by take him for care and meds at a mental health hospital. He is released back on the street after a few days. Everyday thieves are stealing catalytic converters from cars. They are accosting innocent people and breaking into homes and mailboxes. Is this my America? I don’t think so. It’s shocking how quickly society has broken down! Thank you all for your responses. I feel less alone.
