Amazon’s Prime Day is July 12-13. Supposedly, there are some incredible deals to be had. While I’ve fallen for the hype in the past, I found myself ordering things I didn’t really need. I’ve since canceled my Prime subscription but will likely be browsing for fun in the next couple days. Fingers crossed I can keep my shopping cart empty!
What does everyone here think of Prime Day? Will you be buying anything?
I think it is all Hype, I canceled my Prime membership. I only bought one thing this year on Amazon a wedding gift, only because my friends were registered through Amazon’s wedding registry. Prior to that purchase, I bought a book when Amazon was just known as an online bookstore. I have no intention of buying anything through Amazon.
I am a prime member but only participated in Prime Day once several years ago. There are deals on a variety of items. Shop around. Amazon may not be the best deal. Many retailers have joined in on the discounting for Prime Day.
Our house is on an austerity plan only buying what we need. Fortunately we need very little.
My cell phone I got 6 months came with free Amazon Prime. I sometimes watch videos but have never bought anything with my prime membership. Before I got free membership, I might buy one thing a year through Amazon. I only buy what I need. Don’t need or want anything with Prime day.
I’m not a prime member but my husband is. When we order from Amazon we use my gift card balance. Some of the surveys and focus groups I participate in offer Amazon gift cards as an option.
While I did browse during Prime Day last week, I didn’t buy anything. Phew. I’ll admit there are a couple things I plan to buy eventually, so I checked to see if they were on sale. They weren’t, so I moved on with my day.
